I need you to know something. I know you’re not gonna believe what I’m telling you, but you’re going to have to trust me on this one. Okay? Do you trust me?

You are worthy. You are enough. We were all born worthy. Every single one of us. We were all born worthy.

Was I right? Do you not believe me?

I know this is a hard concept to grasp after spending years of not believing that. But the only reason you don’t think you are worthy is because of the programming you pick up from childhood. And that programming lives in your subconscious mind. Your level of self worth and your subconscious mind are directly linked. I know it sounds crazy, but hear me out.

The cheat sheet to life is having high self worth. Want to change your life? Build up your self worth. In this episode, I talk about the difference between self love and self worth, what having high self worth looks like, where low self worth comes from (hint: from your subconscious mind), and why having high self worth can change your life. I get personal and talk about what my life looked like before loving myself, and why reprogramming my subconscious beliefs to raise my self worth has been a game changer for me.

In today's fast-paced and competitive world, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and struggle with low self-esteem. Negative thoughts and self-doubt can creep in and affect your confidence and happiness. That's why it's essential to cultivate a high sense of self-worth and learn to value yourself. In this blog post, we'll explore why having high self-worth can change your life and how to develop it.

What is high self worth?

High self-worth is more than just having a positive attitude, although that's part of it. It's about recognizing and appreciating your own abilities, talents, and experiences. Having high self-worth is not about being boastful or arrogant; rather, it’s about having an inner sense of value and worthiness. It’s believing that you deserve to be treated well and that you’re capable of achieving your goals.

Having high self-worth is essential because it can profoundly improve the quality of life. It helps boost confidence, resilience, happiness, motivation, and success. People with higher self-esteem tend to have better relationships with others because they are less likely to be swayed by what others think or say. They also tend to be more successful in their careers, as they have an inner strength and belief that they can make things happen.

Signs of having low self worth

If you find yourself constantly second-guessing yourself or being overly critical, these may be signs that your self-esteem needs a boost. Other signs of having low self-worth include feeling inferior to others, believing you’re not good enough for success or happiness, and worrying excessively about how others perceive you. You might also feel anxious in social situations and struggle to make and maintain meaningful relationships. Low self-worth can be debilitating, so it’s important to recognize the signs and work on developing a healthy sense of self-worth.

Signs of having high self worth

On the other hand, people with high self worth tend to have a positive outlook on life. They are more likely to take risks and embrace challenges instead of shying away from them. They tend to be more self-assured and able to trust their instincts when making decisions. People with high self-worth also demonstrate greater emotional resilience, as they are less likely to be affected by the opinions of others. They also have a strong sense of self-love and appreciate their own accomplishments.

Most importantly, having high self-worth can make you feel happier and more fulfilled in life. You’ll be better equipped to handle difficult situations with grace and confidence, as well as take life’s successes in stride. With high self-worth, you can truly enjoy life to the fullest and make meaningful connections with those around you.

Why Having High Self Worth Can Change Your Life

1. Boosts Your Confidence

When you have high self-worth, you have a strong sense of self-esteem and believe in your abilities and worth. You know your strengths and weaknesses and can confidently set goals that align with your values. As a result, you're more likely to take risks and pursue your dreams, which can lead to greater happiness and personal growth.

2. Improves Your Relationships

Building healthy relationships requires trust, respect, and effective communication. When you have high self-worth, you're more likely to attract partners and friends who value and appreciate you for who you are. You're also more likely to set boundaries and stand up for yourself when necessary, which can improve the quality of your relationships.

3. Increases Your Resilience

Life is full of challenges and setbacks, but you can develop resilience when you have high self-worth. You're better equipped to handle adversity and bounce back from failures because you believe in yourself and your ability to overcome obstacles. Resilience is a valuable skill that can help you navigate difficult times and emerge stronger and wiser.

4. Reduces Your Comparison Mindset

In today's social media-driven culture, it's easy to fall into the trap of comparing yourself to others. This can lead to feelings of envy, insecurity, and self-doubt. When you have high self-worth, you understand that everyone has their unique journey, and you don't need to measure up to anyone else's standards. You can focus on your own growth and development without worrying about others' opinions or achievements.

5. Enhances Your Mental Health

Having high self-worth can positively impact your mental health and well-being. You're less likely to experience symptoms of depression, anxiety, or stress because you have a positive self-image and a sense of purpose and meaning. You're also more likely to engage in healthy habits like exercise, meditation, and self-care, which can boost your mood and reduce negative thinking.

How to increase your self worth

So, how do you go about developing high self-worth? It begins with self-reflection and understanding. Take some time to write down your strengths and achievements, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem. Remind yourself of the things you value and appreciate about yourself, challenge the negative thoughts that may pop up, and practice positive affirmations daily.

It's also important to learn how to accept compliments and criticism in a healthy way. When someone compliments you, don’t brush it off or downplay your achievements; instead, take it in gracefully and show appreciation for the recognition. Similarly, when receiving criticism, don't take it personally; try to look at it objectively and use it as an opportunity for growth.

Lastly, remember that no one is perfect – and that’s ok. You are unique with your own set of strengths and weaknesses. Being kind to yourself and allowing yourself the space to make mistakes will also help boost your self-worth.

By investing in yourself and making an effort to increase your self-esteem, you can profoundly improve the quality of your life. You'll be better equipped to face challenges with confidence and grace, as well as enjoy life’s successes with optimism and joy. So, instead of focusing on what you lack or comparing yourself to others, take some time to invest in your own self-worth. It can make all the difference in how you see yourself and the world around you.

The bottom line is that having high self-worth can change your life for the better, and it's never too late to start cultivating it. It may take some effort and practice, but with a little dedication, you can enjoy the many positive benefits that come with increased self-esteem.
